Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Spocco Photo Locations and Collectibles Explained
What Spocco Photos are in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, how cameras unlock sightseeing spots, the three ways to explore Wuhu Island, and why no total is published.
Last updated:
Spocco Photos are the collectible that turns Nintendo Switch Sports Resort into a place rather than a menu. Each camera you find around Wuhu Island unlocks information about a must-see sightseeing spot. Nintendo has not published how many cameras or hibiscus flowers exist, so this page explains the system instead of inventing a count.
Source note: Collectible behaviour comes from Nintendo's official product description and overview trailer as of October 2026. Totals are marked Unknown deliberately: no official page lists them, and we will not print a number we cannot count.
The three ways to move around the island
Exploration is gated by which sports you have unlocked, because each traversal method is a sport in its own right.
| Route | Sport used | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Water | Power Cruising | Coastlines, dolphins, anything reachable from the sea |
| Land | Skateboarding (mouse controls) | Resort paths, rails and gaps between buildings |
| Air | Prop Plane | Spotting cameras from above, then landing near them |
That is also the order most players unlock them in, since Power Cruising and Skateboarding appear earlier in the sport list than Prop Plane.
What collecting actually does
| Collectible | What it gives you | Confirmed? |
|---|---|---|
| Spocco Photo | Unlocks information about a sightseeing spot | Confirmed |
| Hibiscus flower | A hidden collectible scattered around the island | Confirmed |
| Dolphins | An encounter while cruising, not a collectible | Confirmed |
The photo is the interesting one: it is the only reward in the game that is purely informational. Nothing about your rank or your Spocco Points balance changes, which is why completionists and rank-chasers disagree about whether it is worth the detour.
Why there is no count on this page
Three places would normally hold a total, and all three are silent:
- The official product page describes cameras and photos but gives no number.
- The overview trailer shows a handful of locations without a completion counter.
- The in-game menu is the only reliable source, and it requires the game.
When we can count them, this page gets a table with one row per photo, the traversal route, and the spot it unlocks — and the title gains the real number.
A practical collection order
- Unlock Prop Plane first if you can. Seeing the island from the air is the fastest way to notice cameras you would otherwise walk past.
- Sweep the coast by water. Power Cruising covers long distances quickly and reaches spots the skateboard cannot.
- Finish on land. Skateboarding is the slowest of the three, so use it for the gaps between places you already spotted.
What is still unknown
- The number of Spocco Photos and hibiscus flowers.
- Whether any photo is missable, or permanently tied to a story event. Nothing official suggests it, but nothing rules it out either.
- Whether collecting everything unlocks anything beyond the sightseeing text.
What are Spocco Photos in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort?
They are collectibles found on cameras around Wuhu Island. Picking one up unlocks information about a must-see sightseeing spot, and the reward is informational rather than a stat boost.
How many Spocco Photos are there in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort?
Unknown. Nintendo has not published a total for Spocco Photos or for hibiscus flowers, so no number appears on this page until it can be counted in-game.
How do you reach Spocco Photo locations in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort?
Three ways, each tied to a sport: Power Cruising on the water, Skateboarding on land with Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, and Prop Plane in the air.
Can you miss Spocco Photos permanently in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort?
Unknown. No official material describes a missable photo, but none rules it out either. We will confirm the answer once the game can be checked end to end.
Do Spocco Photos give Spocco Points in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort?
No. Spocco Points come from playing sports. Photos unlock sightseeing information and are tracked separately from the points economy.
